Between service visits
Flamingo Flow treatment
A biological drain maintainer, not a drain opener. It will not rescue a blocked line, and anything that claims it will is selling you something.
Caustic and acid drain openers are the single most common thing we ask people to stop using. They generate heat, they sit in one place against the pipe wall wherever the standing water stops, they do not dissolve hair or roots, and they turn a basin of water into something hazardous for whoever works on it next.
A bio treatment does the opposite job. Enzymes and bacteria digest the thin film of grease, soap and organic residue that reforms on the pipe wall after a proper cleaning, poured in at night when the line is idle so it has hours to work. Used monthly on a line we have just jetted, it meaningfully extends the interval before the next service. Used on a line that has already stopped, it does nothing at all.

Right for
- Kitchen lines between jetting visits
- Rarely used guest bathrooms and floor drains
- Septic systems, where caustics kill the tank biology
- Restaurants running a maintenance schedule
- Anyone who has been reaching for the caustic bottle
What it will not do
- Clear a line that has already blocked
- Dissolve hair, wipes or foreign objects
- Remove tree roots
- Replace a proper cleaning on a neglected line
If your drain has already stopped
Put the bottle down and call us. Pouring anything into standing water means we have to remove and neutralize it before we can start, which costs you time on a flat-rate job and gets you nowhere.

Questions about flamingo flow treatment
Is bio treatment safe for septic?
Yes, and it is the only kind of drain product we would put near one. Caustic openers kill the bacterial activity a septic tank depends on to function, which turns a drain problem into a tank problem.
How often should I use it?
Monthly, overnight, on lines we have already cleaned. It is a maintainer, so consistency matters far more than dose. Once the line is coated again it is past the point where enzymes can keep up.
