Why drains fail in Northside & Oceanway

Once you get north of the Trout River the lot sizes open up and municipal sewer coverage thins out. A large proportion of what we do out here involves the lines running to and from a septic tank rather than a city main, and that changes the first question we ask. A slow house on septic might have a blocked building sewer, a tank at capacity, a blinded outlet filter or a saturated drainfield, and those are four very different bills.

The ground itself is the other factor. Much of the Northside sits low and holds water, so exterior drainage runs long distances to find somewhere to discharge. Long runs through flat, wet ground silt up, and they are the reason we do more exterior jetting per job here than in the older core of the city.
